 Goals

Not so much about scoring goals but more about Goal Setting...Head coaches Paul Rideout (U18's) and Jon Parry (U16's) touch on what they hope the end result will be for these players and how they want to produce exceptional players but also "good people" in the community.

Wayne Rooney had Poster of Paul Rideout

An interesting read, Our U18's Juniors coach gets a shout out from Wayne Rooney

Rooney relishes cup reunion with boyhood idols Everton

WAYNE Rooney is prepared for the special tingle in his spine on Sunday as he tries to deny
boyhood idols Everton a place in the FA Cup Final.
The acrimony surrounding Rooney's £27million move to Manchester United in 2004, followed by the abrupt downturn in his relationship with Toffees manager David Moyes, has rather soured the forward's relationship with the Goodison Park faithful.

But, as an individual, Rooney remains at heart the kid who learned his art in an Everton kit as he kicked a ball about in Croxteth, posters on his wall of heroes such as PAUL RIDEOUT, the man who scored the goal that beat United in the 1995 final.
Rooney was present at Wembley that famous day, cheering the men in blue onto victory. This weekend he is on Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

"It still means something that it is Everton," said the England striker. "It is the team I grew up supporting.

"It makes it a big day for me, although the most important thing is for United to reach the final."

 Blast From the Past

Not sure how well you all know how Juniors coaching staff...so I wanted to share a great YouTube video (in a foreign language, of course) of Paul Rideout in his prime. Rideout coaches our U18's and is a bit of a superstar...

In case you cant translate it or you dont understand what the heck in going on...Rideout scores the only goal in the 1995 FA Cup Final in which Everton beats Man United 1-0.
