Jon Parry, our Director of the Wizards Juniors, is getting honored tonight at Rockhurst University. He and three other star athletes are going to be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame. Jon played at Rockhurst from 1988-91 and scored 91 goals in his four season. It was a school record that was just recently broke. Check out the article here.
Congrats Jon!

KCW Juniors are Successful in Labor Day Tournament
Both of our younger teams participated in the Midwest Classic tournament that took place last weekend. The U13s played up in U14/15 age group and our U14/15s also played in this age group. It is important to note that our U14/15 team was composed of three players from the U13s and the remaining players were basically U14 players as the U15s are plying high school soccer right now.
Our U13s held their own with a 1-1-1 record and our U14/15s finished the tourney 4-0-0 winning the championship game 4-2 against BVSC Benfica. They also scored a tournament high of 9 goals. A big congrats to coach Edmond Rugova and his team.
Both teams will be in action this weekend with our U13s playing in Omaha Nebraska and our U14/15s playing here locally again.

Questions answered about Kempin
As you all know by now we have signed our first
Home Grown player, Jon Kempin. I have been
asked quite a few questions over the last 24hrs,
so hopefully this will help:
- Jon is considered both a Home Grown player and a Generation adidas player
- Jon will finish/graduate from High school in Dec. 2010
- He did his medical physical today
- He will start training immediately and then will attend HS from 1pm-3pm, Monday through Friday
- He is also taking taking two classes online towards HS graduation
- He will still play/be eligible for the U18 Development Academy-VERY IMPORTANT
- He will be allowed to attend all high school events such as homecoming and anything else that may come up
- He will attend pre season with the Senior Team in 2011
- He is interested in taking college classes in 2011 at an area college depending on his schedule...but education is very important to he and his family
